Rusty Thrower, a Fort Worth born Texas native, has shown a propensity for talent in the arts since an early age. He was internationally recongnized in his teens, and by high school, his work had already been showcased in such venues as New York and Moscow.

Rusty attended the University of North Texas where he received a fine arts degree with an emphasis on sculpture. Through his sculptures, Thrower succeeds in conveying feelings and stirring emotions, while telling a strong story that is unique to the individual. He states, "Through my sculpture, I try to create a work that is pleasurable to look at, while attempting to give the viewer an insight to another time and place."
